Willowbank Care is dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and complex care requirements. We believe every individual deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling, independent, and meaningful life within a safe and supported environment. Our services are built on compassion, respect, and understanding - values that shape how we care and how we connect.
With decades of professional care behind us and a warm, dedicated team, we treat each person as part of our family - supporting them to grow, feel good in themselves, and belong. We love helping individuals find confidence, pick up new skills, and join in with the community. At Willowbank Care, we don't just offer help - we create a place where you truly feel at home, supported, and feel to thrive.
Our History
Founded in Bristol in 2000 by learning disability nurse Jane Griffiths, Willowbank Care began with one home and a mission to provide compassionate, person-centred support. Over the years, we have grown to 15 houses across Bristol, each dedicated to empowering individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Our growth has been guided by a strong commitment to quality, dignity, and inclusion. Today, Willowbank Care continues to evolve while staying true to its founding values - delivering care that helps every person feel supported, valued, and truly at home.

Off the clock, you’ll find me following Bristol Bears, debating tactics, and cheering on my son at Ashton Gate.
Curious, upbeat, and straight-talking, I bring energy, trust, and humour to every room with a big grin, always.

I’ve spent the last 15 years at Willowbank, and I care deeply about the people we support, the teams around them, and doing things properly (even when it’s challenging). I’m passionate about good leadership, strong values, and providing a service that genuinely make a difference.
Outside of work, I’m mum to a one year old boy and regularly mistaken for a human climbing frame. I love a good holiday, enjoy a festival vibe, and am fuelled almost entirely by builders tea and biscuits. If I say “I’ll add it to my list,” I absolutely mean it.

When I’m not at work, I’m usually being walked by my three dogs — Dave, Nancy, and Teddy — who definitely think they’re in charge. I also love a night out at the local pub, listening to live bands, supporting local talent, and pretending I only went for the music.
I’ve spent over 30 years as a nurse in learning disabilities and mental health, and 25 years running my own company. There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way, but I wouldn’t change a thing — I’ve met amazing clients, learned so much, and survived a few tricky days with a smile (and lots of tea).
I like to think I’m a people person… until my dogs demand attention, then all bets are off!

I’m a proud Father, outdoor enthusiastic, fishing fanatic, revelling in a festival or two, dreaming of beach life or riding snowy peaks.
If I’m not in my kitchen rave ‘singing’ or bopping to Chase & Status, I’ll be on cloud 9 living my best life.

When I’m not keeping a close eye on the numbers as Head of Finance, you’ll probably find me being happily bossed around by my dogs - who (naturally) believe they run the household and I’m simply here to provide snacks and cuddles on demand.
I’m also a big Pilates fan, and I love that feeling of switching off, stretching out, and pretending I’m effortlessly calm and zen… right up until someone mentions spreadsheets (or the dogs start negotiating for a second walk).
At work, I’m all about keeping things running smoothly, spotting the details others miss, and making finance feel a little less intimidating and a lot more “we’ve got this.” I like to think I’m approachable and practical - the kind of person who’ll happily help you figure something out, usually with a smile and a plan.
Basically: numbers, dogs, Pilates - and a whole lot of good energy in between.

I've recently joined Willowbank Care, and am excited to support our team, to help maintain exemplary standards of care, and be part of the company's continued growth and development.
Outside of work, I'm happiest when I've squeezed in some exercise - running, rowing, swimming all count!
I'm also a massive Bristol Bears fan, so match days are non-negotiable!

Equal parts focused and joy-seeking, I bring energy, humour, and reliability to everything I do.

I'm Matin. I've been working at SoMax for almost 3 years and have been loving it!
I chose to go into marketing because I had a massive passion for graphic design and social media growth - so a brief chat with Mark and Ian led to a blossoming career!
Outside of work, I absolutely adore rugby. I love watching my local team Clifton Rugby and also do the matchday content for them!
Musical Theatre is a huge passion of mine too, I love watching shows and being part of them!!
